Hello! My name is Valyn McClellan and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Kansas City, Missouri. I am passionate about assisting individuals with navigating stress, depression, anxiety and women's issues.
My approach
I base my approach to therapy around the individual needs of clients and as a social worker, operative from a strengths-based perspective. I most frequently utilize cognitive behavioral and solution focused therapies.
My focus
I typically work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, life changes, relationship and professional/employment issues. I work to help my clients build coping and resiliency skills, and to feel understood.
My communication style
I strive to create a safe and supportive environment for my clients. I want anyone who works with me to feel comfortable, cared for and rest assured they are free of any judgements.
