Hello my name is Melissa and I am a licensed therapist in Missouri with over 20 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress, anxiety, anger management, motivation, self esteem, confidence, and depression. Approaches used to help clients achieve goals are cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, psychodynamic therapy, a person centered approach, and solution focused therapy.
My approach
The common approaches I use in therapy are cognitive behavioral therapy and person centered. These treatment modalities help to empower change by setting goals and developing healthy coping mechanisms.
My focus
I provide therapy to individuals experiencing depression, anger, anxiety, relationship issues, family conflict, grief, trauma and abuse, ADHD, and career difficulties.

My journey to mental healthcare
I became a therapist because I have always wanted to help people. I am passionate about my work and care a great deal about empowering clients to help them work through life challenges and develop a positive self awareness.

My first session with you
The first session will be more of an introduction, in which you will have the opportunity to discuss what led you to seeking therapy, your expectations of therapy, in addition to areas you would like to improve. This helps to build a rapport and establish trust. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. I am here to support and empower you in that journey.
