Hi there, I'm Mandy!

My name is Mandy Cowan and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) based out of St. Paul, Minnesota who provides telehealth therapy to clients. I specialize in working with adults suffering from trauma, incarceration, anxiety, depression, psychosis, personality disorders, and co-occurring disorders.

My approach

My approach to therapy evolves with the needs of the client. I most often utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques, trauma-focused strategies, Socratic Questioning, and Solution-Focused modalities to support and assist my clients.

My focus

I enjoy working with adults because I am able to challenge, explore, and facilitate honest conversations with them. When clients get stuck in ruts, struggle with blind spots, or avoid confrontation and difficult situations, I strive to empower, offer opportunities to enhance self-awareness, and assist clients in building coping skills that work best for them.

My communication style

My communication style is laid-back, inquisitive, and authentic. My goal is to help my clients feel comfortable, understood, and supported during our sessions.
