My name is Jessica Hoenke and I am a licensed clinical psychologist. I take a person-centered approach to assist clients on their healing journey. I enjoy working with individuals from a variety of backgrounds dealing with various mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, grief and loss, etc.
My approach
I tend to view cases from a cognitive-behavioral lens but believe wholly in utilizing an integrative approach based on the needs and goals of each client.
My focus
I have extensive experience treating mood and anxiety disorders. I have helped people struggling with adjustment challenges, poor self-esteem, and relational difficulties.
My communication style
I believe a warm, safe, nonjudgmental space is paramount to the development of a trusting therapeutic alliance. I encourage collaboration as we work together to achieve your therapy goals.
My journey to mental healthcare
I have always had a tendency to lend an ear and a desire to help people feel good. I’ve spent my career helping the underserved. I am driven to continue my work as mental health resources are severely limited and every person deserves wellness.
My goals for you
I work with clients to understand their needs and hopes for therapy in order to identify priorities and develop a plan for success.
My first session with you
I often approach the first session with empathic exploration as I get to know my client and what motivated them to seek support.
