My name is Mikayla Clements, and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I specialize in trauma-informed care, focusing on supporting individuals and families through pregnancy, postpartum mental health challenges, and perinatal loss and grief. My approach to therapy is grounded in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) and Sensory Motor Arousal Regulation Treatment (SMART). I believe in creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their emotions, build resilience, and work toward healing.

My journey to mental healthcare
I became a therapist out of a deep desire to support individuals and families during their most challenging times. My journey began with a strong passion for social justice and community advocacy, which evolved into a focus on mental health as I witnessed the profound impact of trauma on people's lives. Personal experiences and professional encounters have deepened my commitment to this work. I am driven by the belief that everyone deserves a compassionate and understanding space to heal and grow.
