Hello! I am Kathleen Enersen, a licensed clinical social worker in Michigan and have been practicing for 8 years. I enjoy working with adults to address anxiety, life stress, and relationship issues through a framework of trauma informed care. I believe in a balance of having a safe space to talk and process, and also that therapy is also useful for gaining practical coping skills.
My approach
I utilize an eclectic approach with a combination of CBT, DBT, ACT, attachment based, and trauma informed theories.
My focus
I work with adults who may be suffering with anxiety, depression, and stress due to trauma, life changes, relationship concerns, attachment issues, or self confidence.
My communication style
I strive to create a space that is a nice balance where I am professional, but welcoming and approachable.
My goals for you
Goals are created by the clients in accordance with their values and what they want to achieve.
My first session with you
The focus of our first session will be for us to get to know each other, and for you to share about what you are looking for out of treatment. I will ask questions about current symptoms and about your past to help us determine if it is a good clinical fit.
