Hi there, I'm Jill!

"Hi. My name is Jill Jeude and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) based in Maine and working with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with adults and specialize in anxiety, stress, and depression, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help my clients make progress and start feeling better. I am so glad you are taking the first step of reaching out for support. I am here to work alongside and be present with you as you face and move past difficulties that you may be experiencing in your life at this time. I will work with you and be with you on this journey as you take the steps needed to achieve your goals. It is important to me that you feel comfortable and can talk openly about your concerns. I will work with you in a sincere, compassionate, and nonjudgemental manner, providing a nurturing and supportive space.

My approach

Are you feeling hopeless? Stuck? Fearful? Uncomfortable in your skin or in your relationships? We all know that pain in life is unavoidable, but I'd love to help you carry that burden while we work towards solutions. I aim to create a space where you will not be judged, but will be unconditionally supported as we navigate through your concerns and fears. I believe that you are the expert on your life, and will bring my expertise in therapy to collaboratively find the relief and the balance that you seek. There is no "magic wand" that works for everyone so my goal is to work with you to find what works for you specifically. In every session, you will be met with kindness, unconditional positive regard and a dose of humor. You will do some hard work, but you won't be doing it alone.

My focus

My focus is building a strong therapeutic relationship with clients. Meeting clients where they are at with use of various therapeutic approaches including cognitive behavioral, solution focused, task centered and acceptance and commitment therapy. We can all learn from each other and have the ability to grow from challenges with right tools and support. I specialize in improving interpersonal communication, setting and achieving personal goals, stress management, alleviating depression and anxiety. I work with clients from all walks of life.

My communication style

My communication style is calm, accommodating, and personable. I want my clients to feel comfortable talking to me about anything, and I pride myself on my ability to listen without judgment.

My journey to mental healthcare

I decided to become a therapist as I always wanted to help people. I have always been drawn to helping people through difficult times. I am a good listener and I am passionate about helping people become the best versions of themselves that they can be.

My goals for you

My approach to goal setting is about working together to define what you want to accomplish during our time together. This starts by building trust between us, and getting comfortable with what it meant to be in therapy. We will work together to set goal and track your progress.

My first session with you

During our first session together, you can expect us to talk about how you've been feeling recently, and me asking questions to better understand some of why you may be feeling that way. The first session is about us building an initial connection and helping me get a sense of where we should go from there. Each individual is different, and I like to listen first before assuming I know what will work for you best moving forward.
