My name is Angel Mbome DNP-PMHNP, My approach to mental health care is holistic and integrative. I am passionate about blending evidence-based practices with faith-based principles, providing comprehensive support to address the mind, body, and spirit. I commonly use a person-centered approach, focusing on the individual's unique experiences, strengths, and goals. I may also explore underlying psychological processes and unresolved conflicts. My approach is eclectic, tailored to meet the diverse needs of your clients while honoring their faith and values.

My approach

My approach emphasizes resilience-building strategies to help individuals overcome adversity and thrive despite challenges. I also incorporate elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to address maladaptive thought patterns and behaviors. Additionally, I integrate techniques from positive psychology to foster optimism and well-being.

My focus

Patients suffering with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, schizophrenia, stress management, or patients who just need a life coach.

I provide a welcoming non-judgemental space, clients find more than just a listening ear; they discover a guiding light—a beacon of hope amidst life's darkest moments. I believe that everyone has the power within them to overcome obstacles and create positive change. I walk alongside each client, offering compassion, wisdom, and unwavering support as I empowers them tap into their inner strength, guiding them through a process of healing.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey is deeply personal;surviving near-death at 8, enduring childhood trauma, battling the demons of abuse and homelessness to moving to America as a teenager to start life away from my family. In a new land, with nothing but grit and a flicker of hope, I was left to battle depression, anxiety, and PTSD stemming from childhood traumas. I intimately understands the struggles many face.Through my own resilience and determination, I rose above adversity, emerging stronger and more resilient than ever before. Now, I committed to guiding others through their own struggles, believing in the transformative power within each individual.

My goals for you

My approach to goal setting is client-centered, strengths-based. I first establish trust and rapport, then identify values and priorities.Then encourage client to set set SMART goals ( Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound ) . Monitor progress and adjust throughout the healing process. Encourage self-reflection and accountability. Lastly, celebrate achievements which helps patients stay engaged and committed to their therapeutic journey.
