Velma Taylor, LCPC. I am a people-person practicing primarily CBT, Adlerian and some eclectic modalities . My clients have included Grief, Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar, Post Traumatic Stress, and a few Personality disorders.
My approach
I primarily practice using Adlerian and CBT theoretical approaches.
My focus
Client-base have included Anxiety, Bipolar, Depression, Grief, Marital issues, Post Traumatic Stress, and co-occurring .
My communication style
My preference is to practice in an informal environment using a confident, genuine, Sincere, tone. I like to enable my client to set the stage for working together .
My journey to mental healthcare
So many people would elicit my opinion on a number of personal issues. They commented that my advice was sound. Since I thought I was good providing advice, I pursued this work and found my Purpose.
My goals for you
After establishing a therapeutic relationship, together the client and I will discuss and agree on goals. I will recommend and share what I think from a professional perspective.
My first session with you
A first session will include beginning a therapeutic relationship. introducing myself , some legal and ethical points, and an overview about the Counseling process, I will conduct a client background assessment and provide a diagnosis.
