I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) in MA. I specialize in addressing anxiety, depression and nervous system regulation, through a holistic lens, focusing on the connection between the mind, body and spirit. I help individuals address trauma, re-align back to a connection to self, get clarity on their values and goals, understand what may be getting in the way of the life they envision and assist them in feeling empowered to make change. I take a person-centered and strengths based approach, meeting a client where they are at, in order to create rapport and improvement in their life.
My approach
I take a holistic approach to mental well-being, as we know that mental health is more than just what's going on in our minds, but also has much to do with what's going on in our bodies. I believe that looking at the body as a whole being is a comprehensive way to address challenges, issues or difficulties in our lives and I believe that doing so through a holistic and integrative therapy approach has been most beneficial for the clients I've worked with.
My focus
I work with motivated adult individuals who are ready to create change in their life. I focus on assisting my clients through challenges such as anxiety, depression, nervous system dysregulation and trauma.
My communication style
My communication style is compassionate, honest, encouraging, direct and empathetic.
My journey to mental healthcare
I decided to become a therapist (as well as a certified health coach), because I truly love assisting people on their path. What drives me to do this work is the reminder that all people can benefit from some help now and again. I feel honored to get to assist others on their journey towards goals that are meaningful to them.
My goals for you
Typically when working with me, goals will be discussed and set at either the first or second session, to assure that myself and the client I'm working with, both have an understanding of the direction we are moving in during treatment.
My first session with you
During a first session with me, you can expect for us to get to know each other a little bit and for me to ask questions about your previous history, so that I can understand the particular focus you have when entering into therapy.
