My name is Karen Rosado, LMHC. My approach to therapy is centered on the unique needs of each client. My focus is to provide clients with an open atmosphere where they can work on themselves without fear.
My approach
The primary theoretical approaches I use are CBT, Gestalt, Existential, Humanistic, and Cognitive. However, I tailor these approaches to the client's needs and ensure cultural awareness is incorporated into the process.
My focus
I typically work with adolescents, young adults, and adults. I am comfortable treating various diagnoses, including PTSD, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, and more.
My communication style
When working with a client, I strive to create a peaceful and comfortable environment. I believe it's essential for clients to feel that this is a safe space where they can be themselves.
My journey to mental healthcare
My journey to becoming a therapist was challenging, but I have learned that this is where I belong. I find great joy in helping others overcome obstacles and discover a better version of themselves. Witnessing others succeed and embrace who they are truly motivates me. I aim to provide the support people need so they can live their lives to the fullest.
My goals for you
I like to discuss my clients' needs and wants to help establish their initial goals. It's important to remember that goals can change at any time, depending on the client's progress.
My first session with you
During the first session, expect a lot of questions. It's important for me to understand you and what brought you into treatment. I'll do my best to make you feel as comfortable as possible.
