I have been a licensed mental health professional for over two decades with a primary focus working with adults who experience anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and trauma. I like to challenge my clients to experience a healthier you.

My general therapeutic approach is through cognitive behavioral health techniques, connecting thoughts, behaviors, and feelings to a healthier you.

It's important to meet the clients where they are. I bring an approach to the counseling process based on my professional and personal experiences. Clients appreciate the realness that I bring to each session.
My journey to mental healthcare
Personal experiences led to me seeking a profession in counseling. However, I first taught middle school youth before I decided to commit to pursue a career in counseling. I enjoy working with different populations and the challenges that they face. I always have hope in each client and that they will benefit from counseling to achieve their outcomes in living a healthier lifestyle.
My goals for you
I believe that the client drives the treatment. Therefore, goals and objectives are identified by the client which are reviewed on a frequent basis in order to achieve the outcomes they are seeking.
My first session with you
The most important thing about the first session is to establish rapport. My approach to gathering important information on the first session is done in a way that is driven by the client based on my curiosity and reasons why clients decide to seek therapy. Also, I discuss the benefits of counseling.
