Hi there, I'm Brianna!

My Name is Brianna Boffoli and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in MA with 10 years of experience. My practice is geared towards working with adults, adolescents and couples who are navigating challenges in their lives and seeking productive change to find healthier, more fulfilling paths forward. I believe that our minds can sometimes work against us, creating barriers to growth and well-being. As a provider, it is my responsibility to challenge these limiting beliefs and guide clients toward healthier, more positive perspectives. Through this process, I aim to foster resilience, self-empowerment, and lasting change, helping clients navigate life’s challenges with confidence and purpose.

My approach

My approach to therapy is client-focused and collaborative, where I work directly with clients to challenge distorted thoughts and encourage self-awareness. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing to support and empower clients in making productive changes. In addition, I take a holistic approach, considering the entire person, including their physical, emotional, and social well-being, to foster a more comprehensive and sustainable transformation. This combination allows me to tailor the therapy to each client's unique needs, promoting overall growth and healing.

My focus

I typically work with clients who are dealing with anxiety, depression, emotional eating and weight loss challenges, life stressors, and self-esteem issues. I focus on identifying and leveraging each client's strengths to empower and guide their treatment. This approach allows me to help clients build resilience and achieve lasting positive change.

My communication style

In my sessions, I create a supportive and empathetic environment where clients feel heard and understood. I’m an active listener who also challenges clients to grow and improve, always with their best interests in mind. I focus on clearly identifying goals from the start and continuously evaluate progress and any barriers to ensure we're on the right path.

My journey to mental healthcare

I chose to become a therapist because I truly believe it's my purpose in life. Helping others is deeply fulfilling for me, and I feel a strong calling to give back in this way. I’ve always had a natural ability to make people feel comfortable, even from the very first conversation, and I believe it's important for people to feel safe and not judged when they share their feelings. My friends used to tease me because, no matter where we were, people would just start opening up to me. It's something I’ve always valued and recognized as a gift, and it’s why I’m so passionate about the work I do.

My goals for you

When we set goals together in our sessions, the first step is to clearly identify the problem you're facing. We’ll explore how this problem is creating barriers in your life—whether it’s affecting your relationships, work, or overall well-being. I'll ask you if you've tried to resolve it before, what strategies you've used, and what’s worked or not worked for you in the past. Then, we’ll envision how your life might look once you’ve achieved your goal, giving us a clear direction to work towards. It's important to remember that goals can evolve, so we’ll continuously revisit and adjust them as needed to ensure they remain aligned with your progress and needs.

My first session with you

In our first session, we'll start by discussing what you can expect from the treatment process. We’ll talk about what you envision for our work together, including the goals you hope to achieve and how I can support you in reaching them. I’ll ask about what brought you to therapy and what specific issues you’re looking to address. We’ll also explore any apprehensions you might have about therapy, so we can address those upfront and create a comfortable, collaborative environment moving forward. This initial conversation sets the foundation for our work together, ensuring we’re on the same page from the start.
