My name is Antoinette Woods and I am a licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor. I believe in utilizing a compassionate, non-judgmental approach when providing therapy services. I view each client as a unique individual and I have experience providing individual, group and couples therapy.
My approach
I like to utilize CBT therapy as it allows the client to work o identifying triggers and faulty thinking patterns. I like to work on addressing cognitions and utilizing the development of developing healthy thinking patterns. I also have experience with exposure therapy and DBT therapy. I have assisted clients with utilization of grounding techniques, working on trauma responses as well as meditation exercises.
My focus
I have worked with many diverse backgrounds with various clinical needs and diversity. I am experienced with working with clients that suffer from Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, ODD, Trauma, Substance Abuse, Self-Esteem,OCD, marriage and family therapy and many other identified treatment areas.
My communication style
I believe in fostering a calm, relaxing tone and strongly believe in active listening and utilizing reflection and guidance. Many of my clients have expressed that I am very easy to talk to and that I show compassion and have been consistent with obtaining and maintaining a healthy rapport with my clients.
My journey to mental healthcare
I like to consider myself to be seasoned in many aspects and walks of life. I have experienced various trial and tribulations that have equipped me with the tools to help others and that is truly the fruit of my labor. I receive satisfaction in knowing that I can assist and help someone through the healing process as well as have an optimal experience with therapy.

I believe in allowing the client to play an instrumental part in setting and establishing goals that are attainable and geared toward reducing overall symptoms and goals that are realistic.
My first session with you
During the fist session clients should expect to be allowed to openly express their concerns as well as work on building a healthy rapport and discussing background information and begin to start the therapeutic alliance with me.
