I'm Julie Lee, MSSW, LCSW. I love to work with individuals on finding who they are in the midst of life changes whether that be going into college or starting a family or perhaps retiring.
My approach
I utilize a lot of cognitive behavioral techniques and motivational interviewing to help clients cope and grow in their current life.
My focus
I work well with young adults and mother's transitioning into parenthood. I enjoy working with individuals trying to find their way when life has brought them unexpected changes or circumstance whether positive or negative.
My communication style
I tend to have a very laid back environment, meeting the client where they are at. I tend to get feedback from clients stating that they feel they are having a coffee with a friend over feeling as if they are at a ridged doctors appointment.
My journey to mental healthcare
My journey began with wanting to work with individuals with disabilities, focusing on helping them to adjust in to being independent and not having to fully rely on others. This lead into the social work field that broadened my areas of interest and with experience over the years have learned what I truly love to focus on with individuals and clients.
My goals for you
When it comes to setting goals, I help clients decided what they feel is best for them giving the current circumstance and guide as needed.
My first session with you
First session focused on getting to know the client, their background and how they came to seek therapy.
