Hi there, I'm Kaylee!

My name is Kaylee Korfhage, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I reside in Kentucky and I provide telehealth services to clients statewide. I have experience in working with adolescents and young adults and I specialize in trauma, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and relationships. The most common modalities that I use are Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I use these modalities to assist my clients with growth, healing, and positive change.

My approach

I like to utilize a client centered approach where the client and I can work together to set achievable goals and develop a treatment plan catered to their unique and individual needs. I enjoy building a relationship with my client that is based on trust, empathy, empowerment, and collaboration. I use EMDR to assist clients with processing past experiences that may be currently causing emotional distress. I also use CBT to help clients identify and change negative thought patterns and focus on making meaningful changes while developing healthy and effective coping skills.

My focus

Typically, I work with adolescents and young adults to help them navigate their unique experiences and challenges. I have a deep understanding and empathy for the struggles and pressures that this age group may commonly face. I am able to provide a safe and non-judgmental space for them to fully express themselves.

My communication style

I provide a warm and welcoming environment for my clients that allows individuals to express themselves, free of judgement. I aim to provide a therapeutic relationship that is confidential, collaborative, and empowering for the individual. I work to make the individual feel heard, valued, and supported.

My journey to mental healthcare

I became a therapist because I have always been an empathetic person, and I find it rewarding to help people and make a positive impact. I enjoy walking alongside others in their healing journey to becoming the best versions of themselves.

My goals for you

I work collaboratively with my clients to set goals that are specific to them and their needs. We will work together to create goals that are meaningful and achievable. We will refer back to these goals during session and celebrate any progress that has been made.

My first session with you

I like to use the first session to get to know each other and build an initial connection through introductions. I will ask questions to get to know you and gather information to gain an understanding of your unique situation. We will work together to identify a plan for sessions moving forward.
