Rita employs an eclectic approach. Drawing on her advanced education and experience with cognitive behavioral therapy, client centered therapy, cognitive processing, Gestalt, psychoanalysis, play therapy, and integrated therapy, physical and emotional health relationship
My focus
She she works with individuals, couples, and families. Rita conducts sessions with people of all ages and sexual orientations to treat anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, OCD, conflict between couples, family dysfunction, ADHS, and ADD, PTSD, grief and loss.

My journey to mental healthcare
A psychology class during her undergraduate days sparked Rita’s interest in becoming a therapist. Earning a Master of Science in Psychology, continuing education in the field, and a successful practice have given Rita a fulfilling career. She works in private practice, teaches as an adjunct professor at Ivy Tech Community College, and supervises master level clinicians
My goals for you
Respecting client’s by working in a collaborative style. Rita joins the client in designing the best practice therapeutic modality specific to their goals for change. TOGETHER the client and therapist take the agreed upon steps for success.
My first session with you
The client will experience a compassionate skilled practitioner to explore concerns, hopes and goals. Together they will develop treatment options. The client will be encouraged to ask any and all questions. At the end of the first session, the client may accept, decline, or take time to think about continued therapy.
