My name is Kati Wallace and I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW). My approach to therapy is client-centered and strengths-based. My focused areas of practice are depression, anxiety, trauma, adjustment disorders, cognitive distortions, and anger management.

Some of the common theoretical approaches I use are: cognitive behavior therapy, strengths-based, client-centered, trauma focused, and motivational interviewing.
My focus
I typically work with adults from the ages of 18 to 64. Some of the conditions I am comfortable treating include: depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress disorder, trauma, adjustment disorders, and anger management.
My communication style
I am supportive and non-judgmental. I provide encouragement and support to my clients. My clients feel encouraged and supported. I am unbiased and look to encouraged my clients to identify their strengths while working to develop coping skills for their symptom management.
My journey to mental healthcare
I began my journey to becoming a therapist in 2012 when I returned to college in pursuit of an associate degree, bachelors degree, and a masters degree. I went to school for six years straight while working on these degrees. I realized that I had a passion for helping others and wanted to find a way to channel that passion.

My clients identify what their priorities in therapy are and work to develop goals that emphasize those priorities.

The first session will include getting acquainted while completing intake questions to better understand what their treatment needs are.
