Hello! My name is Emma Youngquist. I’m an LCSW, a licensed clinical social worker. I have a very relaxed approach to therapy. I like to listen primarily. I work mostly with those who are dealing with depression and anxiety but have experience with other issues as well.
My approach
I have a very relaxed approach to therapy. I use cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy mostly.
My focus
I work with clients of all ages. I most enjoy working with clients with depression, anxiety, or life stress.
My communication style
I have a very laid-back tone with my clients. I like to listen and get to know my clients as people.
My journey to mental healthcare
To be honest, I became a therapist because I wanted to help people like myself, who have struggled with depression and anxiety.

I set goals with my clients based on what they want to accomplish in therapy.
My first session with you
During the first session, I complete a basic assessment. That means asking background and questions about their history as well as why they are seeking counseling.
