My communication style
My goal is always to provide you with a safe, comfortable, supportive, collaborative, and easygoing environment where you can be yourself. My clients describe me as down-to-earth, genuine, and caring.
My journey to mental healthcare
I was attracted to counseling when I met a particularly dedicated and competent group of school counselors during my previous life as a college program manager. I saw their genuine care and desire to help, and the positive impact they had on so many of their student clients. I wanted to help others and make that same impact. Over time, my career took me from schools to alternative schools to clinics to telehealth to a large hospital system. My drive is still the same, help others and make a positive impact.
My goals for you
I believe in client-directed goal setting; you determine what you want to work on and I'll help and support you in achieving it!
My first session with you
During our first session, we'll go over general information about therapy (confidentiality, scheduling, expectations, etc.) review your history and any requests/concerns, and start to get to know each other. I like to ask, "what brings you here and how can I help?"
