I am Dorian Turner, LCSW, I provide telemental health services in Illinois, Florida, Vermont, and Texas. I work well with millennials and young adults experiencing life transitions, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and adults with serious mental Illnesses. I provide a space free of judgment and shame. Through individual therapy, I help my clients gain a greater awareness of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and develop healthy coping techniques for maladaptive thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
My approach
I strive to help my clients help themselves in identifying their current strengths while also working together to add to their toolkit. My go-to approaches include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, and mindfulness using a trauma-informed, strengths-based lens. I can't wait to connect and assist you in doing the work towards promoting a better you!

I am experienced in working with adolescents and adults who experience depression, anxiety, ADHD, and mood disorders.
My communication style
As a therapist, I strive to create a tone and environment in my sessions that are welcoming, supportive, and non-judgmental. I want my clients to feel safe and comfortable, knowing that they are in a space where they can openly share their thoughts and feelings without fear of criticism or invalidation.
My goals for you
I approach goal setting with clients collaboratively, ensuring the goals are client-centered, realistic, and aligned with their values and aspirations. We use SMART criteria (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) to create clear, actionable steps. Regularly reviewing and adjusting these goals ensures they remain relevant and achievable as clients progress.
