Hello, my name is Ashley Robinson, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with six years of specialized experience working with adolescents, young adults, and families. My practice is dedicated to supporting clients who are navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and emotional dysregulation.
My approach
In our sessions, we will collaborate using a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Narrative Therapy, and other evidence-based practices tailored to support you on your healing journey.
My focus
I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, families, and young adults who are striving to reach their full potential. Many of my clients face challenges related to childhood trauma, anxiety, depression, and emotional regulation.
My communication style
I am deeply committed to creating an open, non-judgmental environment where clients feel safe to be their true selves. This openness fosters a more genuine healing experience. To cultivate this atmosphere, I emphasize compassionate communication, which supports vulnerability and builds trust.
My journey to mental healthcare
As a child, I was often told to be seen and not heard, which left me feeling that my emotions were insignificant. This experience inspired me to become a therapist, dedicated to creating safe spaces for individuals who struggle with their emotions and thoughts. My goal is to help them develop the skills needed to achieve emotional well-being, a critical but often overlooked aspect of our society.
My goals for you
I believe that clients are the experts in their own lives. I rely on them to guide the process, allowing me to support them in identifying and pursuing the goals that are most meaningful to them.
My first session with you
In our first session, clients can expect a conversation centered on getting to know one another and building rapport. We will also explore what motivated them to begin therapy, setting the foundation for our work together.
