Hi there, I'm Staci!

Hi, I am Staci Somes! As a Licensed Professional Counselor with expertise in Narrative Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I am committed to providing client-centered care tailored to each individual's unique needs.

My approach

My approach is rooted in meeting clients where they are, fostering a supportive and empathetic environment that encourages personal growth and resilience. By integrating evidence-based practices with a compassionate, client-focused perspective, I strive to empower individuals to navigate their challenges and achieve meaningful change.

My focus

With specialized training in APSATS, and as a trauma coach for the last 5 years, I primarily focus on issues such as betrayal, compulsive sexual behavior, and divorce. My approach is client-centered, emphasizing a compassionate and tailored therapeutic experience that is supportive and empathetic. I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate their challenges and achieve lasting, meaningful change through evidence-based practices and a deep understanding of their unique struggles.

My communication style

In my practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor, I create an empathetic and compassionate environment where clients feel genuinely understood and supported. I maintain a non-judgmental stance, ensuring that individuals can openly explore their experiences and challenges without fear of criticism. My approach is collaborative, working closely with clients to set goals and develop strategies tailored to their needs. Through encouragement and professional expertise, I help clients build resilience and confidence, fostering a therapeutic space that promotes healing and personal growth.

My journey to mental healthcare

I am a therapist because I have personally experienced the value of therapy in my own life and understand the profound impact it can have. My passion for helping others stems from a deep desire to ensure that no one feels alone in their struggles. I find great fulfillment in supporting individuals through their challenges, and I am committed to providing a compassionate, empathetic presence that guides and empowers them towards healing and growth.

My goals for you

In working with clients, I start by establishing a strong rapport and creating a supportive environment where they feel safe and valued. I then assess their current challenges and desired outcomes through open-ended discussions. Collaboratively, we set goals that are meaningful to them, ensuring these goals are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound (SMART). Together, we prioritize these goals based on their importance and urgency, and develop a detailed action plan that breaks larger objectives into manageable steps. We also identify potential barriers and strategize on how to overcome them. Regular check-ins are scheduled to review progress, celebrate achievements, and make any necessary adjustments to the goals. Throughout this process, I provide ongoing support and encouragement to help clients stay motivated and committed to their path of personal growth. Although I am here to support you, you are the one behind the wheel!

My first session with you

In the first session, clients can expect a warm and welcoming environment where we focus on building a strong therapeutic alliance. The session may also involve setting initial goals and outlining a preliminary plan for addressing their concerns. Throughout, my approach will be empathetic and collaborative, aimed at making clients feel comfortable and supported as they embark on their journey of personal growth.
