My name is Sydnie Huschle-Renk and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Idaho and working with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with adolescents and adults. I specialize in anxiety, stress, and depression, using Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to help my clients make progress and start feeling better.
My approach
My approach to therapy varies based on the needs of each client I work with. I most frequently use Person-Centered Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as both modalities help me and the client build a strong alliance, and allow us to work together to drive along their roadmap.
My focus
I have found that my style and approach is a good fit for teens, young adults, and adults who may be dealing with the challenges of life transitions and social pressures. These challenges often show in the form of anxiety, depression, and stress. I work to help guide my clients in these transitional points and to help develop their knowledge on how to tackle these issues while developing a positive outlook on life.
My communication style
My communication style is relaxing, personable, and encouraging. I want my clients to feel safe to talk about any issue, problem, or thoughts they may have. I make sure to provide a non-biased and non-judgmental space for clients.
My journey to mental healthcare
I started my jounrey in the mental health field after being greatly impacted by my own mental health journey. I found a passion in helping others through their mental health struggles after seeing first hand just how much it can change your life.
My goals for you
I always want my clients to be included in their own treatment. Our treatment goals would be set at the start of our therapeutic relationship and continuously monitored throughout treatment.
My first session with you
For first session expectations, there will be a lot of talking. I want to hear about how you've been feeling, and asking you questions in order to better understand what's been going on. This first session is about us forming our connection and starting to build out our roadmap for treatment. I want to hear everything that you think is important for me to know right off the bat so that you feel comfortable and feel as though I know you.
