My name is Diana Castro and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Iowa and South Dakota. I am also licensed as an Independent Mental Health practitioner in the State of Nebraska. I am also bilingual.
My approach
I specialize in co-occurring disorders. I also have experience working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, substance use and immigration issues. I am certified in dialectical behavior therapy (C-DBT). Other approaches utilized include evidence-based modalities like CBT, solution-focused and ACT.

I work with teenagers and adults. I am most comfortable working with co-occurring disorders, anxiety disorders, mood disorders and substance use disorders.

My goal is to provide a safe, supportive and non-judgmental space where clients feel empowered to explore and address their concerns.
My journey to mental healthcare
I am passionate about assisting others in learning to cope with life transitions, family conflicts, general life stressors and other disorders. I find it rewarding to see my clients feel empowered, build their self-confidence, improve self-care and reach their maximum potential.
