Aloha, my name is Audrey Malasnik and I have been providing counseling to adolescents and adults in Maui for over 20 years and am now working with clients statewide via telehealth. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with experience in a variety of settings, including residential adolescent treatment, adult court-mandated groups, clinic-based couples communication classes, school-based counseling, and private practice with adults.
My approach
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I am trained in a variety of modalities to meet your unique needs. I see the importance of treating the whole person - brain/mind, body, and soul/spirit. Just like the Lokahi wheel illustrates, I believe that we are our best selves when we are in balance. We can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life and relationships, past experiences, and limiting beliefs that might be holding you back from living the life you desire.
My focus
Reaching out for support when we are struggling can be extremely difficult. Choosing a therapist that is a good fit is an important next step and I would be honored to meet to see if we could work together to help you reach your goals. I provide therapeutic support for a variety of concerns, including those going through a major life transition, grief work, anxiety, depression, and anger management.
My communication style
I strive to create a safe, supportive space for you to share and explore your own growth. I also understand the importance of having someone who can hold space for all of your feelings and thoughts with no judgment or agenda. Humor is also important to me when appropriate as we can learn to laugh along with our challenges.
