Hi, My name is Tuere Williams. I am a licensed mental Health Therapist. I have also worked as a Behavioral Health Specialist, School Counselor, Suicide Prevention trainer, De-Escalation Trainer, Parent Educational Trainer, and Member of the Crisis Team. My focus is on helping individuals understand who they are and find ways to solve their problems.
My approach
I favor cognitive behavioral theories, psychodynamic approaches, mindfulness, dialectical behavior therapy, person-centered Therapy, Adlerian therapy, and narrative therapy.
My focus
My client focus is youth, adolescents, and adults ages 18- 30 who suffer from ADHD, Adolescents/Teens, Anger Management, Anxiety, Behavioral Issues, Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality, and many more.
My communication style
I provide active listening to my clients creating a safe and comfortable environment for clients to be themselves and express their feelings and thoughts openly. I provide empathy and clear feedback to clients for their understanding.
My journey to mental healthcare
I became a therapist to help others improve their lives. As an adolescent, I was privileged to have others in my life to help me navigate life, which has been the most significant thing that has happened to me.
My goals for you
I allow clients to take the lead in goal setting. Clients must become the leaders of their lives.
My first session with you
During the first session, clients should expect to share information about themselves and openly ask me questions. The purpose of the first session is to build rapport with clients so they feel comfortable during future sessions. It is also important to address expectations and reasons for the counseling sessions.
