Aloha, my name is Marija Galebovic and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Hawaii. I have worked with clients with many different mental health concerns, and my approach is quite eclectic because we are all unique and deserve individualized care. My specialties include anxiety, life transitions, burnout, and stress. This provider resides in Hawaii.
My approach
I prioritize creating a safe and caring space for clients while utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches. I also make sure to be flexible and often take a bit of an eclectic approach in order to make sure it fits each client's specific needs. My most utilized approaches are CBT, ACT, SFBT, and Mindfulness-Based Therapy, depending on the situation and client.
My focus
I have worked with individuals with many different mental health concerns but currently, I mostly work with individual clients experiencing stress, anxiety, life transition, and/or adjustment concerns. I am also dedicated to being a culturally responsive provider, an anti-ableism advocate, and an LGBTQ+ affirming provider. I am also an APA member of the Society for the Psychology of Women. Currently, I am further advancing my education in the field of Business Psychology via a Ph.D., specifically in the research of occupational burnout.
My communication style
In my sessions I utilize unconditional positive regard toward clients, meaning that I lead with empathy, and support, and am accepting of the client no matter what. Therapy should be a judgment-free zone and safe space, and I try to create that environment.
