Hi, my name is Amy Nakanishi and I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have spent the past sixteen years at a non-profit agency working with individuals, couples, and families dealing with relational conflict, anxiety, depression, and trauma.

I utilize a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach tailoring a variety of therapeutic techniques to each individual’s goals.

I have worked with a variety of ages dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma.

Within the therapeutic relationship, communication is supportive and collaborative. Through the therapeutic relationship, we are able to uncover and build upon strengths and insight to enhance your life.
My first session with you
The first sessions will be focused on building rapport to ensure you feel safe, secure, and comfortable. These sessions are for you and the priority is establishing a safe space where you can feel seen and heard.
