Aloha, my name is Krystal Fernandez and I am a licensed clinical social worker. I am located in Honolulu, Oahu. I believe that each person has a story to tell and I am excited to hear yours.
My approach
In therapy, there are multiple different approaches depending on the concerns being addressed. Some of my most practiced are solution-focused, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and strengths-based.
My focus
Most clients that I work with are adults ranging from 40-80. I sometimes work with young adults aged 18-30.
My communication style
I like conversations where both client and therapist feel comfortable.
My journey to mental healthcare
Growing up people would always have conversations with me. I was told in elementary school by one of my counselors that I would do good in this field. After graduating high school I continued my education at the University of Hawaii to do just that.
My goals for you
Goals are important in treatment to ensure that we are on the right track with therapy.

The first session would feel more like history gathering and rapport building.
