My journey to mental healthcare
As a therapist, my personal background and experiences have greatly shaped my approach to helping individuals navigate their own unique challenges. Growing up in a multigenerational immigrant family home on the beautiful island of Maui, I encountered a myriad of new and diverse experiences. These experiences, while not uncommon in the culturally rich setting of Hawaii, presented me with the opportunity to navigate issues of generational differences, cultural nuances, and emotional complexities on my own. My personal journey of understanding and overcoming these challenges has instilled in me a deep sense of empathy and a strong desire to assist others in their own navigation of similar issues and what those issues bring.
