My name is Cindy Losbog and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) born and raised in Hawaii. I have worked in both hospital and community settings for the past 10 years and enjoy offering support to caregivers. I specialize in Anxiety, Stress Management, Caregiver Support, and Future Care Planning.
My approach
My approach to therapy is client-centered and solution-focused. I offer Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and use Mindfulness Techniques to help clients identify and understand their concerns and work on goals for personal growth. I also share community resources that may help alleviate concerns or burdens you identify.
My focus
I like to focus my work on Caregivers. Whether you are caring for a child, a parent, a sibling, or a friend. I find that my knowledge and experience in working with Caregivers has helped individuals understand their role as caregivers, create healthy boundaries, and identify community resources to help alleviate caregiver burden.
My communication style
My communication style can be described as calm and easy to talk to. I want my clients to feel comfortable talking to me about anything. My aim is to create a safe space to talk freely and with no judgment.
My journey to mental healthcare
My work in the hospital/community showed me there was a need to care for the caregivers. Oftentimes, stepping into the caregiver role happens all of a sudden and can be overwhelming and cause feelings of helplessness. I enjoy helping others. I learned of the positive impact of providing a safe space to talk about feelings/concerns and letting caregivers know they are not alone. Working through life’s struggles is easier when there is someone supporting you through it.

My approach to goal setting is client-led, therapist-guided. I work to have clients understand what their goals are and help them create practical and measurable steps to achieve their goals.

Your first session with me would be more about introductions and getting to know each other. During this time we can ask each other questions, go over what you want to accomplish with therapy, and determine if I am a good fit to help you with your goals.
