Aloha Beautiful Soul, my name is Connie-Anne Holman. I view therapy as a mystery or a puzzle with the client holding the clues and together we figure out the picture.
My approach
Hello Beautiful Soul. My name is Connie-Anne Holman and I am an LMHC and NCC with over 18 years of therapy experience working with children, adults, families, and couples. At the heart, I believe most people want to be seen, heard, validated, valued, and loved coupled with a sense of belonging and purpose. The conditionings and beliefs a person creates in trying to achieve this can cause a variety of distressing and uncomfortable thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I work with clients to help them gain a better understanding of who they are, why they do what they do, and teach them tools to get those needs met in healthier ways. Providing heart-centered, client-focused, and trauma-sensitive therapy in a compassionate and non-judgmental safe space, I work cooperatively with the client to create the life they desire to live while helping them process and let go of conditionings and limiting beliefs that don't serve who they mentally, emotionally, and spiritually want to become.
My focus
I work with a wide range of clients from various backgrounds. I'm most comfortable with helping clients get to the root of their issues, process and release the stuck energy associated with any trauma/wounding they experienced, and learn to re-regulate (using adaptive coping strategies and releasing practices), what has become dysregulated within them.
My communication style
It feels like a warm hug or a soothing salve.
My journey to mental healthcare
I've always been curious and inquisitive about why people do what they do, and what's shaped or conditioned their beliefs, thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. What drives me to do this work is the feeling that comes from the experience of how a client feels when the client reaches the ability where they are able to accept, love, care, be compassionate with, and forgive themselves more and quicker before they berate, criticize and demean themselves.
My goals for you
Help the clients get clear on what they really want for themselves and create the steps that it will take to achieve what they really want while being fully aware of how self-sabotage and self-doubt show up.
My first session with you
The first session is usually an information-getting session with the client sharing what brought them to therapy, what their goals of therapy are, and any questions or information they may have.
