Aloha, my name is Shana Laririt and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with twenty years of experience. I have resided in Maui for the past fifteen years. My passion is helping others to build resilience, coping skills, self-esteem, and happiness. I truly believe that everyone can be empowered to deal with all of life’s challenges.
My approach
I use a strengths-based and solution-focused approach to Therapy. I honor individuality and come from a person-centered perspective. I use empathy and active listening to build trust and rapport. I provide a safe and non-judgmental space to explore emotions and challenges. I am EMDR trained and use this technique to treat trauma. I enjoy advocacy, inspiring change, and problem-solving.
My focus
I have experience working with those struggling with trauma, anxiety, grief/loss, chronic medical conditions, ADHD, Dementia/Alzheimer’s, and substance use. I enjoy working with Adults, Seniors/Kupuna, and Veterans.
My communication style
I create a warm and trusting environment for my clients. I truly strive to create a space where a client feels at ease expressing all of their emotions, concerns, and problems.

Goal setting is an important part of the therapy process. I want to learn what your goals are, support you in achieving them, and revisit your goals as needed.
