As a therapist, I believe every client is unique and deserves a personalized approach to help them identify their individual challenges and develop an effective plan for growth and change.
My approach
My therapeutic approach combines cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused techniques, and a strengths-based perspective to help clients build coping skills and resilience. I also utilize family systems therapy to assist families in restoring and developing healthy relationships.
My focus
I work with individuals, couples, and families facing a range of challenges, including ADHD, anger management, anxiety, bipolar disorder, borderline personality, behavioral issues, depression, family conflict, parenting difficulties, stress, and suicidal ideation.
My communication style
I prioritize meeting each client where they are in their lives, as I believe this is vital for establishing trust, rapport, and a strong therapeutic alliance. My communication style aims to create a non-judgmental, empathetic space that fosters open dialogue and collaboration.
My journey to mental healthcare
I earned my Master of Social Work degree and completed my clinical hours for licensure from January 2011 to March 2013 under the supervision of Jasmine McCoy, LCSW, and at Gwinnett Medical Center. This experience solidified my passion for helping others navigate life's challenges and cultivate emotional well-being.
My goals for you
My goal is to empower you with the tools, insights, and support needed to overcome obstacles, build self-awareness, and create lasting positive change in your life. Together, we will work to identify your unique strengths, develop practical strategies, and foster a greater sense of resilience and fulfillment.
My first session with you
During our first session, we will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, explore your background and experiences, and collaborate to establish goals and a treatment plan tailored to your specific needs. This initial meeting serves as an opportunity for us to get to know each other and ensure that we are a good fit to work together on your journey toward growth and healing.
