Not currently accepting patients

Hi there, I'm Clayton!

My name is Clayton Hunt, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Georgia, working with clients statewide via telehealth. I also see clients in South Carolina. I work with adults and couples and specialize in depression, trauma, relationships, and anxiety, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help my clients make progress and start on the journey to feeling better.

My approach

My approach to therapy varies based on the needs of the clients I work with. I most frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, as these modalities help me and the clients build a shared understanding of their reality and allow us to work together to chart a path forward.

My focus

I have found that my style and approach are a good fit for clients who may be dealing with the challenges of life transitions, traumas, stuck points in relationships, and the trappings of life’s daily challenges. These often take the form of anxiety, depression, stress, and anger. I work to help my clients navigate these challenges and build skills to allow them to build the life they want to live.

My communication style

While my style is informal and relaxed, confidentiality and professionalism are of utmost importance. My communication style is calm, accommodating, and personable. I want my clients to feel comfortable talking with me about anything, and I pride myself on my ability to listen without judgment.

My journey to mental healthcare

I've always had an unparalleled passion for people and helping them reach their goals. Since my time in the Army, I've made it my mission to help others lead fulfilling lives that serve their overall goals.

My goals for you

My focus is on increasing your self-awareness, helping you overcome painful thoughts and feelings, and tapping into your natural abilities to navigate challenges. My practice nurtures a non-judgmental, supportive atmosphere rooted in safety, mutual trust, respect, and honesty. Through the process of therapy, you begin to develop effective solutions that fit with your values and how you want to lead your life.

My first session with you

What you can expect from our first session together is for us to spend the majority of our time talking about how you’ve been feeling recently and for me to ask questions to get a better understanding of why you may be feeling that way. The first session is about us building an initial connection and helping me get a sense of where we should go from there. Each client is different, and I like to listen and develop a rapport first before assuming I know what will work best for you moving forward.
