My approach to therapy is helping people figure out why the problem has shown up, learn what to do about it, and how to implement skills, knowledge, and insight learned in therapy to live a productive life.
My focus
I work with people suffering from Depression, Anxiety, Post-traumatic stress disorder, interpersonal relationship issues, couples' counseling, and any life transitions.
My communication style
I am not the warm and fuzzy therapist. This is because I feel that you will hire me to help you resolve your deepest issues and sometimes, getting to the root of the problems is not easy. Although I will work with you until you are ready to resolve your deep issues, sometimes, it is my responsibility to help you understand barriers getting in the way of you resolving issues and this does not feel comfortable.
My journey to mental healthcare
The sad thing about depression is that people don't know that they are depressed. I was depressed for many years before I was first diagnosed with Depression. Over the years and with the help of professional help, I am living a thriving and productive life. Thus, my journey into the world of therapy started with my attempt to heal myself. Now, after 26 years of being a helping professional, my only goal is to help people suffering from mental health challenges is to live a life of comfort.

My goal setting with people is to listen to what people want out of therapy and help them articulate their own goals that are realistic and attainable.
My first session with you
Clients should expect me to assess suicide risk, and self-harm risk and collect information to help identify problems and prioritize solutions.
