My name is Ashley Beech-Mavrantzas, and I've been in mental health practice for 10 years. I believe that mental health is just as important as physical health and that they go hand in hand.
My approach
My name is Ashley Beech-Mavrantzas, and I've been in mental health practice for 10 years. I specialize in Mood disorders, Bipolar disorder, and Borderline personality disorder. I also have experience in grief therapy. Furthermore, I use many modalities to treat these disorders such as DBT, CBT, and EMDR. Additionally, I use different eclectic modalities based on the client's needs. The first and best method is client-focused to ensure that I am treating you as you wish.
My focus
I work best with clients who suffer from mood and personality disorders. My clients are usually in need of emotional regulation and distress tolerance. I provide techniques and methods to help them manage their behavior. I also assist with creating coping skills for when they are triggered.
My communication style
I'm open and authentic and I have an appreciation for the client who is sitting across from me.
My journey to mental healthcare
I was becoming bored with my career choice. I had always wanted to be a therapist and help people. I went back to college received my MSW and became licensed as an LCSW.
My goals for you
In the first session, I am usually able to see what their goals may be. However, I let them lead the way when they set goals with my help if needed.
My first session with you
I ask clients the reason they are coming to me. Then I listen attentively and allow them to elaborate. I use listening skills to capture what they are saying.
