My name is Olivia Reynolds, and I am an LPCC-S. I am licensed in Ohio, Kentucky, and Florida as a mental health therapist. My focus of practice is adults, adolescents, and couples. I focus on a wide variety of issues and mental health disorders. Therapy does not mean you have mental health issues, sometimes individuals just need guidance and to learn how to process their feelings and emotions.
My approach
I use an integrative approach. I tend to be mostly behavioral, but I like to be psychodynamic and developmental in the first session. Meaning I like to know your history.
My focus
I tend to see patients that are LGBTQI, couples, family, and individuals with personality disorders and mental health issues.
My communication style
My idea of therapy is to educate. I spend a great deal of time helping you understand the processes and or issues you might be dealing with. Most people want to know the Why. I am the type of therapist that is solution-focused, meaning we are working on solving the issue and not dwelling on it. I like to think of myself as a motivational coach.
My journey to mental healthcare
I come from a family of individuals that have struggled with mental health. My dad was a veteran and struggled to get consisted answers. I lost two family members to suicide, and it made me want to advocate for the need and make a comfortable platform for individuals to feel heard and get help. I am grateful for the new hotline #988 please call or text the number 988 there are crisis specialist 24/7 that care and will send you to the right place to get help.
My goals for you
Motivational as well as assertive. I am here to hold you and your family accountable. If we set goals, we will figure out the best way to meet them, and how to handle roadblocks so that you can get the healing and emotional growth you seek.
