My name is Alia Khederoo and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in Orlando, Florida, and working with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with adults and specialize in anxiety, depression stress, and substance use, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help my clients make progress, start feeling better, and accomplish their goals.
My approach
My approach to therapy varies based on the needs of each client. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance, Person-Centered Therapy, and Commitment Therapy. These modalities help me and the client build a shared understanding of their reality, and allow us to work together in order to accomplish any goals they may have on their journey of recovery and wellness.
My focus
My style and approach are a good fit for teenagers and adults of any age who may be dealing with the various challenges and pressures that life may bring. I work alongside my clients to help empower them and build the skills necessary in order to take on these challenges and help them see life with a more positive outlook. These challenges can often manifest in the form of anxiety, depression, and stress.
My communication style
The environment that I create for my clients is a safe, judgment-free space in order for my clients to be able to freely express themselves. My communication style is calm, accommodating, and personable. I want my clients to feel comfortable talking with me about whatever they need.
