Hi. My name is Kasey Moore. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida. I like to take a holistic approach to mental wellness by incorporating traditional mental health approaches with physical and nutritional wellness. I provide psychoeducation and coping skills to help each individual manage their day-to-day life and to accomplish goals for their future. I like to determine how each individual will best receive counseling and tailor each interaction to best suit the needs of each unique individual.
My approach
I commonly use Solution-focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Acceptance/Commitment Therapy, and Client Centered therapy when working with clients.
My focus
I work with couples, families, parents, caregivers, and individuals. I work with a wide diagnostic demographic which includes grief, depression, anxiety, caregiver support, aging concerns, chronic health issues, chronic pain, relationship concerns, body image issues, eating disorders, infidelity, and trauma.
My communication style
I have a clinical background and am experienced in assessment and diagnosis. I am a laid back therapist that provides a more conversational and supportive tone to therapy sessions.
My journey to mental healthcare
I have always been in helping professions since my teenage years. I decided to go into mental health, initially, to help women of all ages cope with body image issues, self-esteem, and confidence. As I have worked in the field my interest has broadened. I enjoy helping others learn how to and be comfortable with living their best life....even if that life may not be in line with the expectations of others.
My goals for you
I ask clients what their primary goal is for therapy and then will ask about goals for each individual session. I will make suggestions, but the client drives the goal setting both short and long-term.
My first session with you
The first session usually will allow for background information, triggering events for seeking therapy, and goal setting.
