Hello! My name is Kimberly Anderson and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Florida. My approach to therapy stems from the belief that we all have the ability to recognize our struggles in life and are able to work towards finding solutions to help us get back on track and find enjoyment in life! My focus areas include working with adults who are seeking to find happiness, contentment, safety, and structure within their lives.
My approach
My approach to providing therapy involves listening to your story, your concerns, and what your goals are. We will then work together to figure out strategies and solutions for actions that will help you to meet your goals. My approaches tend to support positive psychology, strengths-based therapy, and CBT/DBT activities to help you meet your goals in ways that are logical and comfortable to you.
My focus
I have found that I am most successful in working with adult, female clients. I am focused on helping individuals through life transitions, unexpected changes, career frustrations, adapting to a health condition, and an individual's overall quest to find ongoing contentment in life.
My communication style
I focus on being warm, welcoming, and judgment-free. I enjoy listening to your life story and understanding your viewpoints, strengths, weaknesses, and why your goals are important to you.
My journey to mental healthcare
I was motivated to become a therapist through my own life experiences. These experiences dealt with loss, grief, and a feeling of not knowing where I was heading with my life. I am driven to do this work for my career because I have a great sense of empathy and I want to see others succeed.
My goals for you
I approach goal setting by listening to what is important to my client. We will discuss topics such as where you want to be in one year, three years, or five years from now. What goals will help you bring peace to your life and help reduce conflict and confusion?
My first session with you
During our first session, clients will have the opportunity to explain what brought them to therapy, explain what goals they are working towards, and also be able to ask any questions about my therapy style or experience.
