I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. I have 10 years of professional work experience. I have experience working with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, and low self-esteem.
My approach
My approach to therapy varies based on the needs of each client I work with. I most frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Supportive Therapy. I believe that you are the expert on your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you.
My focus
I have found my style and approach are a good fit for young adults and adults that are struggling with low self-esteem, anxiety, and depression. I like to help my clients end the cycle of negative self-talk and begin the journey of self-love.
My communication style
My communication style is compassionate, understanding, and accommodating. I pride myself on being open-minded to create a non-judgmental space for my clients to feel comfortable with sharing anything.
My journey to mental healthcare
While in my teens, I became the go-to person in my friend group that everyone went to with their challenges. I realized at that time that helping others navigate the challenges of life would be a wonderful career. I enjoy seeing people become the best versions of themselves.
My goals for you
I meet will meet you where you are. We will work together to determine what you would like to get out of therapy. I will help you develop short-term goals that will help you move toward your long-term goals. This will often start out by building trust between us.
My first session with you
During the first session, we will spend the majority of the time talking about you, including talking about what brings you to therapy. To gather information and to get to know you, I will be asking you questions. In the first session, we will work to build the initial therapeutic connection.
