Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). I received my master's Degree from The University of North Florida and have been practicing for 6 years. I help individuals unravel the overwhelming knots in the thread of life, to and become the best version of themselves. No problem is too big or small for us to collaborate and tackle.
My approach
I use integrative techniques to help meet you where you are and give you the personalized care that you need. Some therapeutic approaches I use are CBT, Mindfulness, trauma-focused, Solutions Focused. Most importantly, I get to know you as an individual and meet you where you are.
My focus
My clients are unique individuals all with personal experiences that have led them to this very moment Whether they are new to therapy or starting over again, my clients are eager to commit to prioritizing their needs through implementing, self-care and self-compassion, learning new ways to cope, or tweaking old ones, all the while processing the difficult events in their lives. I provide affirming and informed therapy via Telehealth. I am inclusive, and non-judgmental and provide a safe space for the the LGBTQ, Polyamory, and Kink communities.
My communication style
My goal is to provide you with the opportunity to share your thoughts and feelings without having to filter what you want to say. I want to help you identify coping strategies and understand how to use them. I use a caring, empathetic, and motivational approach to help guide you on the path of healing and growth.
My journey to mental healthcare
I am no stranger to trauma, isolation, discomfort, and loss. My personal experience has led me to where I am today.
My goals for you
We work together collaterally to find out what you have done before and in the past. What has worked and what has not worked? We meet you where you are and start small focusing on making changes that are realistic.
My first session with you
During our first session, you will find a warm and welcoming environment. I will get to know you and you will get to know more about me. We will review your history and your current reason for coming to visit. We will assess your needs as well as complete any assessments needed while establishing rapport to develop primary goals. Before you leave me we will have established a report and set therapeutic expectations. Don’t worry, it's ok to be apprehensive! I'm happy you chose to meet with me.
