I'm Katie Miller, a marriage and family therapist with 7 years of experience, specializing in ADHD, PTSD, trauma, adjustment disorders, depression, and anxiety. As a wife and mother, I bring personal insight and dedication to helping families thrive by focusing on finding their authentic selves. When I'm off, I enjoy meditating, reading, walking, spending time with friends and family, swimming, and playing with my son, Lucas.
My approach
My approach to counseling is integrative, drawing from a wide range of techniques to suit each unique client relationship. I work collaboratively with clients to set goals and utilize the methods that best support their journey. I primarily lean towards person-centered, solution-focused, cognitive behavioral, and embodiment work.

My journey to mental healthcare
I became a therapist because as a teenager, I experienced a tragic accident in which I lost my mother and brothers. This profound loss inspired me to help others who are navigating through different types of pain. I wanted to be someone who could support individuals through their toughest moments and help them find joy and happiness again after experiencing something terrible.
My goals for you
I am direct about goal setting and emphasize SMART goals—ensuring they are specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound. Throughout our work together, I help clients establish these goals and consistently revisit them to track our progress toward their desired outcomes.
My first session with you
In the first session, clients can expect a lot of questions from me as I strive to understand their situation deeply and determine the most effective ways to assist them. They are encouraged to ask me any questions they have as well, fostering an open dialogue from the outset.
