My name is Ariel Corniel. I’ve been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida for approximately 20 years. Through the use of cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing techniques, I hope to help clients make the changes they desire.
My approach
I often implement cognitive behavioral techniques and motivational interviewing techniques. However, I’ll implement other techniques based on what might work best for a Client.
My focus
I’m most comfortable working with folks dealing with depression, anxiety, and individuals seeking to navigate a challenging life situation.
My communication style
I will not provide you with answers as I believe my role is to help someone arrive at their own conclusions. As a result, I’m known to challenge a client’s thought process and present different viewpoints, thus helping clients reframe difficult situations
My journey to mental healthcare
I was attracted to a career as a therapist mainly due to the need for others to have a trusted source to process their feelings and feel supported in the process. I find joy in helping others overcome difficult situations and develop the skills to better cope.
My goals for you
Working collaboratively with the client to determine what they’re looking to accomplish and establishing how we will know progress is being made

A combination of information gathering, developing goals, and providing clients ample time to ask questions
