Hey there! My name is Shelby Bliss and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Titusville, FL. I have over 10 years of experience working with men and women struggling to make sense of this crazy thing called life. I have an eclectic, strength-based approach that is designed to meet you where you’re at.
My approach
My approach to therapy is based on the needs of each client. I draw from a variety of techniques including Solution Focused, CBT, Gottman, Forgiveness, DBT, Narrative, and Somatic Therapy. I encourage clients to be curious about life and explore their emotional, physical, and spiritual needs from a grace-filled perspective.
My focus
I have worked with a variety of clients over the years to include women, men, and couples. I have helped clients navigate a crisis, work through traumatic events, rebuild self-esteem, improve relationships, overcome addictions, and heal from past hurts.
My communication style
My communication style is calm, open, and nonjudgemental. I want clients to feel comfortable sharing with me. It is an honor to walk alongside a client as they work toward healing and freedom.
My journey to mental healthcare
I started my journey as a Social Worker and soon realized I needed more tools to effectively help others. I decided to go back to school to earn an MA in Marriage and Family therapy. I have worked in domestic violence centers, child protective services, acute mental health facilities, private practice, and those impacted by the criminal justice system. I am passionate about helping others find freedom and become all they were created to be.
My first session with you
Clients should expect to feel welcomed and accepted. We will spend the time together talking about what brought you into therapy, exploring expectations, and getting comfortable talking with one another.
