Welcome! I'm Kelly Bujnicki and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida. I am best positioned to serve school age people and their family members who are looking for support and guidance while they manage life's changes and challenges. Counseling can provide opportunities for personal development and improved quality of life. If that's what you're looking for, I'm here when you're ready to share.
My approach
I’ve used Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in various settings over the past 24 years. Many clients have enjoyed the benefits and versatility of this style of counseling. CBT involves equipping you with coping skills for dealing with different kinds of problems. During our time together, we’ll use CBT techniques to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence one another. We’ll use that knowledge to adjust your thinking patterns, which will result in less anxiety and stress; and more calm and confidence.
My focus
Throughout my career, I have supported children, adolescents, young adults, and their family members. Together, we've navigated school-related issues, familial situations, relationship issues, stress, and worry. No matter the presenting problem, you as the client will not only have a voice, but also the final determination in the problem-solving steps we take.
My communication style
I strive to create a welcoming and safe environment that allows clients to explore concerns including, but not limited to, worries, stress, school challenges, relationship challenges, and/or self-care.
My journey to mental healthcare
Listening to the stories and hardships of others is something to which I've been drawn to since I can remember. I value advocacy, fairness, responsibility, hard work, relationships, mental, and physical health. I decided that social work was the career choice that incorporated all of my passions as well as provided me with the opportunity to serve others.
My goals for you
I support clients as they prioritize their focus areas, identify obstacles they’re facing, and develop a plan to help them achieve desired outcomes. During the course of our therapeutic relationship, we will review the goals, effectiveness of the steps towards reaching them, and reassess whenever needed.
My first session with you
Our first session together will begin with introductions. Then, we’ll talk about the challenges you’re facing as well as your hopes and expectations for your therapeutic experience. This conversation will help me create a tailored plan for you to review and serve as a guide for us through our follow-up sessions.
