My name is Zafria Bailey, I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who enjoys working with individuals who desire to lead healthier lives. My areas of focus are Depression, Stress Management, Self-efficacy/Esteem, and Anxiety. Treatment is always determined in collaboration with clients and focused on enhancing client strengths, solution-focused, and empowerment.
My approach
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Solution-Focused, and Narrative therapy are evidence-based online treatments that can be just as effective as face-to-face treatments.
My focus
I enjoy working with adult clients ages 21 and older who have issues with anxiety, increased stress, mild to moderate depression, and poor self-care and self-esteem. These issues can come from various environments such as home, school, work, and cultural.
My communication style
Clients can expect an environment where collaboration is encouraged for partnership, therapeutic rapport, and empathetic communication in sessions, at a pace that feels comfortable to them.
My journey to mental healthcare
I became a therapist so that I could provide a space for people who often feel misunderstood. As an introvert, I know what it feels like to be in your head, unable to find your words and feel deeply. My passion is the joy I get from hearing clients express how liberated it feels when they "are seen" and free to live more fulfilling lives.
My goals for you
Goal setting is determined by working with the client to identify what they would like to accomplish with their time in counseling then working toward those goals by breaking them down into objectives and equipping the client with skills.
My first session with you
During the first session, clients can expect to discuss some of their background and primarily what concerns have brought them to counseling.
