My approach
Cognitive-behavioral therapy is an action-oriented form of psychosocial therapy that assumes that maladaptive, or faulty, thinking patterns cause maladaptive behavior and "negative" emotions. The treatment focuses on changing an individual's thoughts (cognitive patterns) in order to change his or her behavior and emotional state.
My focus
I relish the prospect of working with others, both as part of a team working towards a common goal and also working face-to-face with individuals and families from all walks of life to provide them with assistance.
My communication style
Talk therapy is the treatment of mental, emotional, personality, and behavioral disorders using methods such as discussion, listening, and counseling. Let's have a conversation about you in an unbiased environment where you can feel comfortable and at ease.
My journey to mental healthcare
The most rewarding part of being a counselor is knowing that you had a part in affecting the life of another human being. Giving hope when people feel hopeless. Inspiring others to be all that they are capable of being so that they can go out into the world and pay it forward by helping others.
My goals for you
Goal setting involves the development of an action plan designed in order to motivate and guide a person or group toward a goal. Goals are more deliberate than desires and momentary intentions. Therefore, setting goals means that you have to commit thought, emotion, and behavior toward attaining the goal.
